The City of Chicago reached an agreement with a class of Chicago Transit Authority bus drivers on June 3. The bus operators alleged that they were required to ride along on busses to learn new routes, but they were not paid for that time. Magistrate Judge Schenkier gave preliminary approval for the settlement, under which CTA will reportedly pay $300,000 to settle the drivers’ Fair Labor Standards Act claims.
